Presented at Milan Design Week 2026 in the Rossana Orlandi Gallery, Kenosis is an architectural installation produced with Diasen that explores the relationship between matter, light and perception through a contemplative space built on emptiness.

The work emerges as a silent entity, a vegetal cromlech that celebrates not stone but the living memory of material. Seen in plan, four structures rise like archaic cork barks, folded by time and shaped by a natural wisdom that precedes architecture. Arranged in a mirrored embrace, they turn their backs to one another to define a temenos — the sacred enclosure of the Greeks — at whose centre there is no object to contemplate, but a void to cross.

This active void suspends time: entering, the noise of the world fades and boundaries dissolve. Curved surfaces in earthy, solar tones absorb and reflect, creating a microcosm of soft shadows. The outer seats, immersed in the same chromatic grammar, embody waiting: they are the threshold, the place of patience before access to the enclosure.
